How is Wallpaper Installation Priced?
We price our wallpaper installations by the panel or tailored to your room, based on wall height. This allows us to give accurate quotes for projects of any size. Pricing includes labor and the added complexity of working around features like windows, doors, and outlets.
What are our Local Installation Rates?
Local installation rates apply within 20 miles of our Wall Covering Centers, or when a SPICER Certified Installer is available in your area.
Do you deduct for windows and doors?
No. We do not deduct for windows, doors, or other wall features. These elements actually make installation more complex and require additional material handling.
Installation Pricing for an Accent Wall
Common Installation Rates (By the Square Foot):
Accent Wall Labor Rates:
- 8 ft height = $3.00 / sq ft
- 9 ft height = $3.25 / sq ft
- 10 ft height = $3.50 / sq ft
- 12 ft height = $4.00 / sq ft
Example 12' Wide Accent Wall Installation (Labor Only):
- 8' wall = 96 sq ft → $288
- 9' wall = 108 sq ft → $351
- 10' wall = 120 sq ft → $420
- 12' wall = 144 sq ft → $576
Example Full Project Estimate for a 12' Wide x 9' High Wall:
- Materials: $510
- Labor: $351
- Total: $861
- (Plus applicable tax, shipping & handling on materials)
Installation Rate for a Powder Room
Powder Room Labor Rates:
- 8 ft height = $4.50 / sq ft
- 9 ft height = $4.75 / sq ft
- 10 ft height = $5.00 / sq ft
- 12 ft height = $6.50 / sq ft
Example 6' x 6' Powder Room (Labor Only):
Total square footage includes all four walls:
(6 + 6 + 6 + 6) x 9’ = 216 sq ft
- 8' ceiling = $864
- 9' ceiling = $972
- 10' ceiling = $1,200
- 12' ceiling = $1,872
Example Full Project Estimate for a 6' x 6' Room with 9' ceilings

- Labor: $972

Do you Install Wallpaper on Ceilings?
Yes, we do! Ceiling installations are priced separately due to the increased difficulty and time required. Like walls, ceiling pricing is calculated by the square foot. Please contact us for a ceiling-specific rate based on height and material.
Do you offer Commercial Installation Pricing?
Yes. For commercial spaces, pricing is still based by the square foot, but varies depending on volume, site conditions, and scheduling. Contact us to receive a customized bid for your project.
How do I calculate Square Footage for a Quote?
Square footage is calculated by multiplying the height of the wall by the width. For example, a wall that’s 8 feet tall and 12 feet wide is 96 square feet. We recommend rounding up slightly to account for pattern matching and trimming.

What if i want to install the wallaper myself?
We support DIYers too! While our installation team can handle the project for you, we also offer:

What if my walls are irregular or curved?
Specialty surfaces (curved walls, archways, niches, etc.) are priced by the square foot but may carry a complexity fee depending on the scope. Send us photos and measurements for an accurate estimate. Or receive an in person measurement consultation with one of our Spicer Team Members.
